The Drama Triangle

The Drama Triangle was first coined by psychiatrist Dr. Stephen Karpman in 1968 to describe maladaptive interpersonal dynamics among individuals with primarily personality disordered traits. Since then, this concept has expanded to demonstrate a framework of high conflict interactions and explain why resolution of conflict is nearly impossible as long as the interactions remain "trapped" in the cycle. How do you know if you're in a drama triangle cycle? How do you "get out" of the cycle if you find yourself "trapped?"  Watch Part 1 and Part 2 videos below to find these answers.
